These past 3 months I was training for a 15km or 9.32 mile trail run race. In that training period I was able to set a Personal Record at 26:30 for 3 miles. I was the only member of my family to run the race, but everyone was supportive. Throughout the training I was able to run on a lot of terrains, including the beach, the road, and hills. The hills slowed down my time the most, though the beach was almost nearly as difficult. I liked the beach was because it was right next to the Pacific Ocean, because it was very peaceful.
On March 5th I was one of hundreds to run the Miner's Trail Race in Arrowtown. It started off on a really steep hill for half way before it hit the highest point which was 906 meters up. Then it went downhill which was the worst terrian I have ever run on. It was so steep, and narrow, so I had to almost walk the entire way so I wouldn't fall down . I almost lost my footing a couple of times. I ran through the Arrow River for a mile , which was very slow. It was an amazing experience though I wish I would have trained better through rivers. The cool thing during the last mile was that I was running past a LOTR location, The Flight to the Ford from the Fellowship of the Ring, though I don't know exactly where because I did not have the guidebook which told me the details. I am still planning on running even though the race is over.
